WEST NYACK – A man was struck by a car around 8:30 p.m. yesterday as he tried to cross busy Route 59 in front of the ShopRite supermarket.

Clarkstown police said the unidentified man was crossing the street from the Palisades Center mall toward the supermarket when he was hit by a car headed toward Nanuet.

“We don’t know who he is. … He had no ID on him,” Sgt. Steve Chernick said at the scene, while several other crime scene and accident investigators were at work.

Well… After a long and not so fantabulous week I must say I am very happy that it is Sabbath. I can chill with my family (I wonder where they are…) and REST! And most importantly forget about that nasty to-do list sitting on my desk at wor… Sorry that should be a swear word on sabbath!

A lot of people ask what I do and what is the point of it all. Well for one Roger, I don’t turn into a pumpkin, though I must say cost of living/stress would be next to nil. Not a bad idea… Anyway, here’s a brief overview. Feel free to comment on what you do on Sabbath or what it means to you.

While cleaning out my room (tropical storm Hanna has us stuck indoors), I stumbled upon some hardware I had fixated to my femur 10 years ago. A little melancholic, I analyzed and noticed dried blood on it. It was then that I started to feel sorry for my self.

I have always hated walking, as far back as I can remember. As a toddler I remember my mom saying “Ivonnie, you are going to walk today and I am not going to pick you up.” She figured if she started prepping me I would. But not even an hour later my little arms would reach towards her, puppy dog face and all, I would convince her to carry me.

Soo I am sitting in my parents’ kitchen wonder and hoping for the day that I can own my very own kitchen.

With the sub prime loans and are every so lovely housing crisis people are left to wonder. If I buy now and The Great Depression II rolls around, then what? Will I face foreclosure as well and be destitute on the streets of New York City?
