Pedestrian struck in West Nyack, seriously injured
⊆ September 15th, 2008 by Ivi | ˜ Comments OffWEST NYACK – A man was struck by a car around 8:30 p.m. yesterday as he tried to cross busy Route 59 in front of the ShopRite supermarket.
Clarkstown police said the unidentified man was crossing the street from the Palisades Center mall toward the supermarket when he was hit by a car headed toward Nanuet.
“We don’t know who he is. … He had no ID on him,” Sgt. Steve Chernick said at the scene, while several other crime scene and accident investigators were at work.
