The application Finder can’t be opened (-10810) — ARGGGG!!!
So today, while trying to make a zip file of some stuff I have on an external harddrive my lovely finder decided to crash. Now my genius-self finally remembered that uncomfortable shortcut (you know it’s true! don’t believe me? try it. Option + Command + Esc) to force quite an application. I quickly found Finder, and without a thought, clicked on the Relaunch button. Twiddled my fingers… No Finder… Looked around nervously… Still no Finder… Oh why get nervous, I can click on the Finder icon in the Doc…. “The application Finder can’t be opened (-10810)” ARG!!
So I ran to my trusty Google and after look around in a lot of places I found a solution.
Open Terminal and type:
/System/Library/CoreServices/Finder.app/Contents/MacOS/Finder &
It’s magic! All your problems melt away and you’re free of any worries. Well, except…..
